A farmstead, comprising one unroofed building and one enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lxix) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1981).

Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 23 February 1998.

This farmstead, comprising one building, a possible second building and an enclosure is situated in enclosed pasture about 500m NNW of Kiltyrie farmhouse. A third building, about 90m to the SE, which may have been a barn associated with this farmstead, is described under NN63NW 39. The principal building (BL00 7) originally measured 15.2m from NE to SW by 4.1m transversely within rubble walls now standing up to 1.4m high, but it has been extended to the SW to form a range 24m long internally, whose SW gable stands 2.2m high. Both the original structure and the extension have an entrance on the SE, there is a small outshot at each end (possibly two outshots at the SW end) and a later pen has been built into the W corner of the main compartment. The enclosure abuts the NW side of this building; subrectangular on plan, it measures 24m by 23m. A platform in the N corner of the enclosure, measuring 7.6m from NE to SW by 5.1m transversely may mark the site of a second building (BL00 1047).

The first building described above is depicted as unroofed on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lxix and Perthshire 1900, sheet lxix NW). Both maps also show the enclosure.
