Traces of the foundations of the E Gate Lodge were noted on the N side of the now closed entranceway and gate. The building may have been demolished when the World War II decontaminiation site ( was erected.

The Gate Lodge is depicted on all editions of the OS 25-inch maps (Renfrewshire, 1857-58 onwards, sheet 1).
