NJ 803 248 A watching brief was maintained between March 2004 and January 2005 during the conversion of steading buildings to form three new houses. The site lies c 30m W of Bourtie parish church, which although built in 1806 lies on the site of an earlier foundation dating to the 12th century. A Pictish symbol stone is built into the S face of the church and a cross-incised slab is built into the E-facing wall of the E steading building. No other archaeological features or finds were evident.
