The airfield gas decontamination centre was situated about 470m SE of the aircraft hangars.

The building is visible on vertical air photographs (106G/Scot/UK 42, 3127-3129, flown 4 May 1946) and an oblique taken in the early 1950s (Mr J Norrie). The decontamination centre would appear to be a type J, but with three entrances.

The centre is not visible on vertical air photographs taken in 1988 (All Scotland Survey [Jasair] 24 88 038-039, flown 11 June 1988) and the area now has new buildings depicted on the current OS 1:2500 scale digital map.
