Pump House [NAT]

OS Landline, January 2006.

This small, brick-built building with wooden beam slated roof formerly housed pumps (most likely for drainage). Depicted on the 1918 Ordnance Survey 25-inch map (Dumbartonshire, sheet XX.13), it contains the remains of pump machinery and pipes.

Infomation from Jelle Muylle, engineer carrying out survey of sites and structures of the Glasgow Corporation Loch Katrine Waterworks scheme in collaboration with RCAHMS, on behalf of Historic Scotland, December 2007.
