NM26SW 8002 c. 23 63

N56 41 W6 31

NLO: Cornaigbeg [name: NM 240 629]

Coll [name centred NM 20 57].

(Classified as trawler: date of loss cited as 20 February 1953). Richard Crofts: this vessel was wrecked near Cornaig Beg [Cornaigbeg], Coll. Registration: Milford Haven.

(Location of loss cited as N56 41.0 W6 30.5).

I G Whittaker 1998.

Material reported under RoW amnesty (2001):

A1949 1 porthole: from seabed.

(Name cited as Richard Croft: no detailed location or depth of water cited).

NMRS, MS/829/35.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative.

This is probably the loss 'off the NE coast of Coll' to which Whittaker is referring in his caption to the lower photograph on p. 291. The misappellation 'Milford Haven' refers to the port of registry, rather than the name of the vessel.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 29 September 2003.
