The works of Transbus Alexander (origially Walter Alexander), which was founded in Falkirk in 1902 as a bicydle business. Alexanders were Scotland's largest bus manufacturer, and this factory dates from the return of the company's manufacturing operations to Camelon in the 1950s. At the time of survey in 2001, the company had become part of 'Transbus International', itself part of the transnational 'Mayflower Corporation'.
