Nothing is visible of a cottage that stood in what is now a cultivated field about 270m SE of Mid Harlaw farmsteading (NJ72SW 135). The cottage is depicted as roofed on the NW side of a small garden on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire, 1870, sheet xlv), but it appears to have been removed before the end of the 19th century and is not shown on the 2nd edition of the map (1901, sheet xlv.SE).
Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, IF), 21 March 1996.
