Formerly entered as NG63NE 8530 at cited location NG 6826 3621 [N57 21 W5 51], as NG63NE 8001 (unlocated), as NG63NE 8002 at cited location NG 6805 3595 [N57 21.3 W5 51.3] and as NG63SE 8001 at NG c. 69 34 [N57 20 W5].

Possibly on map sheet NG63SE.

(Location cited as NG 682 354). Scomber: this wreck is situated just W of the islands in Caolas Beag, in a depth of about 17m.

17 July 1970. The steam trawler SCOMBER was lost on Crowlin Island.

7 January 1975. The wreck was searched for but not found. There is no knowledge of the wreck amongst the locals.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. The loss of this vessel may have occurred within the area of map sheet NG63SE.

Caolas Beag is not noted on the 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but the Crowlin Islands form a group around NG 69 34, in the Inner Sound.
