This disused quarry is situated 250m NE of Pitmedden House (NJ82NE 33.00); it is largely filled in and its site is now partly occupied by a modern house. The quarry is depicted on the both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1870, sheet xlvii; 1901, sheet xlvii.NW).

Visited by RCAHMS (ATW, JRS), 28 January 1997.
