A pillbox surrounded by a barbed-wire fence is situated on the line of anti-tank blocks forming part of a coastal defence line from Kingston to the River Lossie is visible on a Royal Air Force vertical aerial photograph taken in 1945 (106G/UK 750: 5013-14, flown 31 August 1945).
