(Location cited as NS 781 103) Buccleuch Brickworks, 1850s and later. Much reduced remains of an exceedingly interesting complex. The circular kilns with their conical vents are now almost completely demolished, but the large brick moulding and drying shed still survives. The course of the narrow-gauge railway linking the works with the clay-pits can still be traced.

J R Hume 1976.

This brickworks is neither noted nor depicted on the current edition of the OS (GIS) MasterMap.

Information frokm RCAHMS (RJCM), 6 October 2010.
