Mr Colin Christie, 2 Meikle Endovie Cottages, Alford, AB33 8EE, has in his possession the top stone of a rotary quern that was found within the last twenty years close to the west lodge at Glenkindie House (NJ41SW 16.00). The stone is of hornfels and measures about 490mm in diameter by up to 75mm in thickness. The central hopper is about 35mm in diameter.
