A mill pond and dam, situated in dense vegetation, were noted during a forestry survey at Clune Hill. The dam appears to be relatively intact although it is partly obscured by scrub and fencing. The mill pond and dam together with an upper mill pond at NH 6084 3568 (NH63NW 73.02) and that at NH 6117 3423 (NH63NW 73.03) form part of the water supply feeding the former corn mill at Dores (NH63NW 73.00). The mill pond and dam are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet xix).
