NT27SE 1906.01 2560 7300 George Watson's School
George Watson's Hospital is depicted on the OS 1st Edition colour-tinted 1:1056 scale map (Edinburgh, sheet XXXIX, 1852). It has since been demolished and the buildings of the Royal Infirmary stand in its place. The Institution moved to a new building further west in 1871 (NT27SE 1906.01), and then to Colinton (NT27SW 1691.00) in 1932.
