The offices are clearly visible on the aerial photograph of Ardrishaig from SE and on the close-up photograph of the harbour/pier square. These canal offices came to be housed in the plain two-storeyed building on the N side of the harbour square at Ardrishaig by about the middle of the nineteenth century.

The building is visible on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1873, sheet clxx), on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1900, sheet clxx.NE), on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1981) and on the OS 1:10000 raster map (ND).
