N57 8.58 W2 5.15

NLO: Aberdeen [name: NJ 95 05]

Albert Basin [name centred NJ 947 057].

See also NJ90NW 8002.

Possibly on map sheet NJ90NE.

Formerly entered as NJ90NE 8156, at cited location NJ c. 96 05 [N57 8 W2 4], and at cited location NJ c. 949 057 [N57 8.5 W2 5.1].

(Location cited as Commercial Quay Wharf: date as 1 January 1972. This vessel sank at her moorings before capsizing, taking the George Craig (NJ90NW 8002) with her. She was refloated on 27 January 1972, and taken for scrap).

R Larn and B Larn 1998.

(Location of loss entered as NJ c. 9490 0580 [N57 8.58 W2 5.15]). The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Aberdeen Harbour (NJ90NE 7.00) is centred at NJ 95 05. Commercial Quay (NJ90NW 291.04) extends from NJ 9457 0584 to NJ 9529 0571.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), presumably on account of her successful recovery.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 16 July 2007.
