Leading Light (Fixed Red) [NAT]

OS (GIS) AIB, May 2006.

Location formerly entered as NS 3323 2265.

(Ayr 3 ('inner leading light'): location cited as NS 332 227). On E side of entrance to wet dock: 1874. Tapering circular-section cast-iron tower on square concrete plinth. Cylindrical lantern with triangular paned window on seaward side. Conical roof with fixed mushroom ventilator.

This light apparently formed a pair of leading lights (through the harbour entrance) with NS32SW 123.02.
