The British Legion Hall situated at the crossroads of Langrig Road, Raeside Avenue and Ford Road was used as a gas decontamination centre and air-raid precaution post (ARP) during World War II. The original part of the building is oblong and flat-roofed to which an extension was added in 1964 to house a bar and lounge. The building has been used by the British Legion since the early 1950s.
