The main technical area to the N of the 'C' type hangars (NO42SE 59.01) is visible on vertical air photographs (NLA 48, 5.7 flown 25 September 1942 and NLA 68, 3004-5, flown 27 August 1943). The area is depicted on the OS 1:10000 scale map (1982).
