This is clearly marked as a wharf on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Stirlingshire 1856-66, sheet xxv). On the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Stirlingshire 1899, sheet xxvSW) a railway line is shown going through the area, but on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1993) and on the OS Basic Scale digital map (2000) there is only an unidentified building visible in the area.
