Hatton Castle is a castellated mansion with corner turrets, rebuilt in 1812-4, on the site of, and incorporated with, part of the old castle of Balquolly. The latter belonged to the Mowats from c. 1400 to 1729, when it was sold to Alexander Duff of Hatton.
