Operated by Crosse and Blackwell, this factory produced a variety of food products including "Branston Pickle". It was due to close shortly after the RCAHMS photographic survey of February 1998. During February 1998 a photographic survey of the Crosse and Blackwell factory was undertaken. The purpose of this survey was to register the existence of the factory in the National Monuments Record Scotland holdings, and its overall importance to the local economy.
