Mill [NAT]

Riversdale Mill was constructed during the latter part of the 1880's for tweed manufacturer William Kedie and Co. They continued to operate from Riversdale Mill until December 1898, when they were finally bought out by Messr. Blenkhorn Richardson and Co. Ltd., who operated from Eastfield Mill. The total assets of William Kedie and Co. at this time were valued at #10,956,,19,,2d.

During March 1999, RCAHMS conducted a photographic survey of the remaining textile mills within Hawick. The purpose of this survey was to enhance and augment the existing holdings of the National Monuments Record Scotland.
