This aqueduct is close to a spillway (NS88SW 99).

The canal is shown going over the Rowan Tree Burn on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Stirlingshire 1864, sheet xxx), the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1984) and the OS Basic Scale digital map (2000).
