In order to reconstruct this bridge and permit clear headroom, Ruchill Street has undergone re-alignment.

The Forth and Clyde Canal Guidebook 1991.

This bridge, which was originally a bascule bridge, was later culverted, but has now been successfully restored.

H Brown 1997.

This bridge carries Ruchill Street over the canal, according to the Current edition of the OS 1:10 000 map (1984).
