The former Malleny Curling Pond, situated in a small copse some 600m E of Harlaw Farm is shown on the current OS 1:10000 scale map (1991). The curling pond is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Edinburghshire, 1853, sheet11) with a small lodge immediately to the S.
