Stone [NAT]

OS 1:10,000 map, 1979.

This standing stone is situated in a cultivated field on the E flank of Gallow Hill 250m NW of Gallowhill farmsteading (NJ51NE 49); it measures 1.2m from N to S by 1.1m transversely and 1.85m in height. The stone is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet lxii), but it was omitted from the 2nd edition of the map (1901, sheet lxii.NE).
