Beaten aluminium doors by Eduardo Paolozzi, 1977. Founding collection includes works by Rembrandt, Chardin, and Stubbs. Features a collection of the paintings, pastels, and prints of James McNeil Whistler. Graphics collection holds 30,000 prints.The Mackintosh House reconstructs interiors of C R and Margaret Mackintosh's second house at 78 Southpark Avenue, demolished during building of the University refectory (see NS56NE 985), and incorporates furniture from an earlier house at Main Street and at Windyhill.
