There is extant evidence of this old timber wharf.
The Forth and Clyde Canal Guidebook 1991.
This wharf is clearly marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Stirlingshire 1864, sheet xxx), but is no longer shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1984) or the OS Basic Scale digital map (2000).
