The faint cropmarks of a possible fort has been revealed by oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1995) 1.2km SE of Chapel on Leader (NT54SE 45). The fort is possibly multi-vallate, with two or three outer ditches and it measures at least 70m in length. There are a number of other archaeological features recorded in the immediate area (NT54SE 4, NT54SE 31, NT54SE 37, NT54SE 56, NT54SE 58 ).
