Built in three stages:

Built: 1915: first section of 100,000 KW capacity.

1921: second section of 40,000 KW capacity.

c.1935: total capacity 200,000 KW.

Constructed for Glasgow Corporation Electricity Dept.

Demolished 1980-1981.
