A Chain Home Low radar station on Dunnet Head, situated immediately to the NW of Loch of Easter Head. The radar station was equipped with type 57, a high powered version of the fully mobile type 37 trailer set, which operated on low power; and type 273, which was a naval designation for a surface watching set, with paraboloids mounted inside a perspex 'lighthouse'- type structure.

This radar site is situated in an area to the SE of the lighthouse. there are several single storey brick built buildings and many concrete bases.

A group of brick and concrete buildings that form the Chain Home Low radar station at Dunnet Head. One large transmitter/receiver (Tx/Rx) block with a blast wall at the SE end (ND 20493 76565) , one electricity generating house with blast wall (ND 20435 76584) , mast bases at the NW end of the Tx/Rx block, other upstanding buildings (ND 20452 76530) and several hut bases were all noted.
