NN63NW 39 62800 37030.

A farmstead, comprising one unroofed building and an attached enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lxix) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1981).

Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 23 February 1998.

This building, which has an enclosure attached to its ENE side, stands in dense bracken about 90m ESE of the farmstead described under NN63NW 40. It measures 11.2m from NNW to SSE by 4m transversely within rubble walls up to 0.4m in height, and it has an entrance on the WSW. The enclosure, rectangular on plan, measures 13m by 12m.

The orientation of the building, lying across the contour and facing the prevailing wind, would be unusual for a farmhouse in this area; it is more likely to have served as a barn for the farmstead to the WNW.

The building is shown as unroofed, together with the enclosure, on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lxix).
