Aerial photography has recorded the cropmarks of a rectangular pit-defined enclosure 440m E of Westerton farmsteading. It measures approximately 22m by 10m, and consists of two parallel alignments of 5 pits each, and one centrally placed pit at each end. A circular marking obscures one of the pits on the S side. Similar cropmark sites have been interpretated as Neolithic ritual enclosures, such as Littleour (NO14SE 59), or mortuary enclosures, such as Upper Gothens (NO14SE 85). A further possible pit-enclosure has been recorded 460m to the NNW, and the site of a barrow 150m to the NE (NN91SE 9).
