Scheduled (with NT57NW 46, NT57NW 48, NT57NW 86 ) as Dalvreck, pit alignment.

Information from Historic Scotland, scheduling document dated 16 December 1993.

Aerial photographs have revealed the cropmarks of a pit-alignment to the NW of The Chesters fort (NT57NW 1) and 600m ESE of Dalvreck farm. The alignment runs in an ENE-WSW direction and is visible for about 475m from NT c.5104 7802 to NT c.5147 7822. The pit-alignment curves towards the W at the WSW end (passing the cropmark of a ring-ditch (NT57NW 48)) where it meets a second alignment running N-S (NT57NW 46). A further pit-alignment 60m to the S runs parallel to it for about 80m towards the ENE end. A series of pit-alignments have been recorded around The Chesters including NT57NW 49, NT57NW 51, NT57NW 52, NT57NW 114.
