Recorded by O G S Crawford, 11 May 1943.

This rectangular platform survives on a steep slope at an altitude of 160m OD and measures 36m by 11m. It is of modern date.

NMRS, MS/712/62.

(Location amended to NJ 6449 3413). This 'platform' has been dug into the slope close to the foot of the steep SW flank of the Hill of Tillymorgan, and overlooks the River Urie immediately to the W. Subrectangular on plan, it measures 25m from N to S by 11.5m transversely and it has been cut back into the hill slope to a depth of up to 1.5m. On the W the front of the platform is built up with the cast down spoil. On the date of visit much of the platform was obscured by a dense growth of broom and gorse.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS), 13 July 2000.
