Vertical air photography (BKS NJ90N 2794047-8, flown 21 September 1978 and Jasair NJ90 34.88.052, flown 11 September 1988) has recorded the cropmarks of a possible homestead moat of rectangular plan in an area of gorse and rough grass (formerly farmland) on a peninsula within a loop of the river Don.
