(location cited as NJ c.978 206). Menie Whin Mill. This circular whin mill is made of grey granite and remains standing. The stone measures 3ft 11ins (1.19m) in diameter and 1ft 4ins (0.4m) in thickness; the shaft is 9 1/2ins (0.24m) square and the iron pin is 1ft 6ins (0.46m) long. The outer edge of the millstone has been worn by friction against the side of the course. Around the course there is a paved platform 8ft (2.4m) wide on which walked the animal that provided the power.
