The HIBERNIA, from Londonderry to Philadelphia, was lost at Lochindaht [Lochindaal], Island of Isla [Islay], 7th inst.

(Classified as [full-rigged] ship: no cargo specified, but date of loss cited as 7 October 1808). Hibernia: this vessel was lost at the entrance to Lochindaal [Loch Indaal]. Capt. James. All gone October 1809. Constructive total loss or repair?
Registration: Londonderry.
(Location of loss cited as N55 45 W6 20).
