(Location cited as NJ 270 027). Sleach. The footings of a depopulated settlement survive on a moderate SW-facing slope in an area of grouse moor at an altitude of 411m OD.

What may be thirteen unroofed shieling-huts and a sheepfold are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet lxxix). Nine unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
