This site falls within the Tombreck 2W division of the Tummel Forest Field Survey. The following sites from that survey lie within its extent: 1,12, 15, 15a, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 31, 53, 56, 57, 60, 66.

A farmstead comprising two roofed buildings, three unroofed buildings, one of which has an attached enclosure, and another enclosure, and a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet xxxviii). Three unroofed buildings, one with an attached enclosure, and part of the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
