Bogside Station [NAT]

Not to be confused with Bogside Station of the Glasgow and South-Western Rly. (NS 3098 4031), for which see NS34SW 54.

Not to be confused with Bogside station in Fife, for which see NS99SE 7.

This intermediate station on the Kilwinning-Irvine branch of the (former) Caledonian Rly. was opened (as Bogside Platform) by 1843. It was successively renamed Bogside Station (before September 1909) and Bogside Moor Halt (on 2 June 1924) before closing to regular passenger traffic on 28 July 1930.
