No trace was found of a building, which was depicted as unroofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xvii), during a pre-afforestation survey by J Wordsworth. It is not shown on the 2nd editon of the 6-inch OS map (Caithness, 1907, sheet xvii), although a well and a spring are marked.
