A township comprising thirty-three roofed buildings, one of which is annotated as a School, two partially roofed buildings, three unroofed buildings, thirteen enclosures and parts of a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Harris 1881, sheet xviii). Thirty-two roofed, one partially roofed, twenty-five unroofed buildings, several enclosures and parts of a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
