A township, comprising five roofed of which one is a school and one is a inn, five unroofed buildings, two enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1876, sheet cvii). Six roofed, one of which is a chapel but may have been the school, nine unroofed buildings, two enclosures and the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
