Name Book 1881

Although there is no evidence of buildings on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire and Cromartyshire 1881, sheet iiiA), there is an area of improved ground and the placename suggests the presence of a township at one time. An enclosure is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1970).
