This halt was situated on the Stirling-Perth portion of the Scottish Central Railway (later incorporated into the Caledonian Railway). Its historical details are unclear, but it was successively named Caledonian Curling Society's Platform, Curling Pond Halt, Royal Curling Club Platform and Carsbreck before it closed to passenger traffic in about 1935.

The Royal Curling Club Station, a halt on the Scottish Central Railway (subsequently incorporated into the Caledonian Railway) is depicted as a single roofed building to the S of the track on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1866, sheet cxvii). The station served the Royal Caledonian Curling pond (NN80NE 24) on Carsebreck Loch. The halt is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1978).
