The subterranean magazine is situated about 26m to the SW of the gun-emplacement.
The underground structure is built of shuttered concrete the entrance being at the end of a stone revetted u-shaped trench. The trench which leads from the gun-emplacement has been cut into bed-rock and at the deepest point is about 2m in depth. Internally the magazine has been whitewashed. The entrance door has been removed.
Within the magazine is the remains of an ammunition trolley. The apparatus has three wide wheels, that at the front having the ability to rotate 360 degress, a towing ring and a central spindle to support the ammunition tray. The trolley is an exact match to that found at the First World War battery on Vementry Island (HU26SE 4.00).
