Dam [NAT]

OS 1:10,000 map, 1979.

For (associated) Glenlee Tunnel (NX 5510 7779 to 6028 8026), see NX57NE 37.00.

For associated dam (NX 57768 78863), see NX57NE 38.

This dam controls the level of Craigshinnie Burn which supplies additional water to the Glenlee Tunnel (NX57NE 37.00) through the shaft NX57NE 42 (at NX c. 582 791). It is termed a 'weir' and 'pond' in the published account. An 'aqueduct' is shown as leading S from it, but this feature is not indicated on the 1979 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 21 October 2005.
